At Sunset Valley Resort, we value the health and safety of our guests. In order to provide the safest possible environment for you and your family, we have adapted some of our procedures to provide the best safe experience for our guests in regards to Covid-19 prevention.

Each of our rooms have private entrances and therefore direct interaction with others will be naturally limited. Please be aware of keeping at least a 6-foot distance from other guests while on the resort property, including around the commons area, deck, beach and fire pits.

As a precaution this year, we providing contactless check-in. We will process your fees online the morning of your arrival, email your receipt, and have your keys placed in your room. This will allow you to go directly to your room when you arrive on the property. The door will be unlocked.  If you plan to arrive later than 9:00 p.m., please let us know in advance and we will leave a light on for you. If you are uncomfortable with this method of check-in, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.We want to do what works best for you. Modifications of this plan will be based on each guest’s choice.

Sunset Valley is a small family business. Your room has been cleaned by the facility owners.  In consultation with our suppliers, we disinfect with virucidal cleaning products for your protection.  All surfaces are meticulously cleaned including doorknobs, remotes, light switches and other high-touch surfaces.

For your safety and the safety of other guests, we ask that you practice social distancing from groups other than your own. We have rearranged some of the outdoor tables and chairs to help you with this task.  We are not requiring the use of face masks for our guests, as we do not offer any indoor public gathering spaces. It is left to your discretion and comfort as to your choice to wear one or not. We also ask that you respect the choices of our other guests in this matter.  It is a personal choice whether you choose to wear a mask off the resort property. Be prepared for local residents to ask you to wear them indoors.

We ask that you practice hand washing hygiene during your stay (yes, we know that you already do! ).. The CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds whenever possible because hand washing reduces the amounts of all types of germs on hands. Hand soap is available in your bathroom. Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth. We do have hand sanitizer in front of the office for your use.

If you are staying for more than two nights, please let us know if you need your towels replaced or other supplies. Extra can liners have been supplied in your room for towels that you would like to have replaced. Please bring them to the front office and we will provide replacements. We are happy to assist with whatever you may need, but want to respect all guest’s social distancing practices.

The visitor’s guides and brochures usually available in the rooms will still be available this year, but only at the front office in effort to eliminate as many touchable items in the rooms. Feel free to come to the office to request one. We have plenty.
